Dragon Ball Z Live-Action in the flesh?

When an adaption of an existing property (like the remake of 3:10 to Yuma or another Batman) comes around, some loyal fans go "oh why? The original was just fine." I have hated to hear that, but now, I am joining the "Oh why oh why" camp. It has been in the talks since 2002 but 20th Century Fox has made a deal to film in Montreal for an about $100 million budget Live-Action version of Dragon Ball Z, the popular manga turned anime, international hit. For those who don't know the plot of the Akira Toriyama creation, it is about an alien of a killer race that bumps his head and becomes a hero protect of the Earth from his own race. In 2002, Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman Jim Glanopulos personally traveled to Japan to meet with DBZ creator Akira Toriyama and the publisher Shueisha to reach a deal. Well, let's see if they can finish it before the industry strike.
